TO THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA:
I am hereby returning without my signature Bill No. 190255-A, which was passed by Council at its session on June 6, 2019. This bill would prohibit sidewalk sales in the entire Tenth Council District. As Council and my administration continue to work together to lower Philadelphia’s poverty rate, we should not also be making it harder for Philadelphians, and specifically entrepreneurs, to find economic opportunity.
